Creating or updating a class name

Modified on Wed, 9 Oct at 10:58 AM

To create or update a learner’s class, the Establishment Administrator role is required.

If learners have been imported from a CTF file, this will not include the learner's class name and will need updating manually. Please note, for the demo account you should not import any learners from your school as these have been pre-populated for you.

Creating a class

  • Log into NOA and select Administration on the left-hand side menu.
  • Select Learners from the menu.

The Learner Management screen will open.

  • Select Class Names.

  • To create a new class name, first select the learners who will be assigned the new class name.

  • Use Year group and Class filters to find groups of learners.

Or

  • Use the search box to find learners by name.

Find all learners with a class name showing as Unassigned by selecting Unassigned from the Class Name drop down menu.

Once learners are filtered by year group, class name or other search criteria then the learners in the table will automatically update.

The select all button will select all learners that are displaying as they match the search criteria applied.

  • Type the new class name into the class name field.

If the Class name inputted is new, then a new class name will be created. However, if the class name already exists then the name will display under the new class name field and learners will be assigned to this existing class when saved.

  • Select Save

A confirmation message will appear.

  • Select Confirm and learners will be assigned to the new class name.

Cancel will take you back to the Class names screen with the learners still selected.

Updating a learner's class

  • Refer to the process above.
  • If the class name already exists, then the name will display under the new class name field and learners will be assigned to this existing class when saved. However, if the class name inputted is new then a new class name will be created.
