- The excel template can be downloaded from the prepare your data page.
- The template must be used unmodified, with no new columns added, no columns deleted, and no heading labels changed.
- The template contains 16 columns with a mixture of required and desired data fields. The column headings are:
- UPN
- First name
- Surname
- Date of birth
- Sex
- Year group
- Class
- SEN support
- Proficiency in English
- Free school meals
- Pupil premium
- Looked after
- Maths attainment
- Reading attainment
Click on the note in the column title for guidance on how to complete each data field.
Status
- Once the file has been imported the file needs reviewing on the File import screen.
- If the status is stuck on processing - refresh the screen to update to Awaiting review.
- When the status shows as Waiting review select the file and select Review Summary to see if the import is successful or whether any errors have been identified.
Data out of range
- The data entered is not in the correct format.
- Refer to the column heading to review the acceptable format. The system will highlight the data field where the error exists, e.g. check DOB is in the format dd/mm/ccyy.
- Make amendments to the excel template before trying the import again.
Data is missing
- The template is missing data in one of the required fields.
- Remove the file and make sure all the required fields are entered into the template before trying the import again. The required fields are:
- First name
- Surname
- DOB
- Sex
- Year group
- Class (this is not mandatory but entering it on the spreadsheet will save you from doing it in the system later).
