To make it easier for your learners to access the system we suggest creating a shortcut for them. To do this:
- Log into NOA.
- On the right-hand side of the homepage, you will see a link to the Learner portal.
- Click on the link.
This will open the URL your learners will need to access to take their tests.
There are various options to share the URL with your learners depending on the device being used:
1. Generate a QR code if using an iPad
Go to an online QR generator and generate a QR code for the URL which the learners can scan with their iPads provided they have a QR reader.
2. Share the learner URL via a shared space
We recommend sharing the learner URL by copying and pasting the URL into a shared space where your class can easily find it (school website, online learning platform such as Google Classroom, by email etc).
3. Create a desktop shortcut
You can create a desktop shortcut easily; you will just need to know which browser you are using.
Google Chrome PC or Laptop
- Access the learner page.
- In the top right corner of your browser click on the 3 dots icon.
- When the menu shows, scroll down the options and select Cast, save and share.
- When the menu shows, select Create shortcut.
- You can rename the shortcut on a learner's device so that they can easily recognise it.
- The default name is User Login - we suggest using NOA Learner.
You will now have a new shortcut on your desktop, this one has been renamed NOA Learner.
Microsoft Edge
- Access the learner page.
- In the top right corner of your browser click on the 3 dots icon.
- When the menu shows, select More tools.
- When the menu shows, select Pin to taskbar.
- You will now have a new shortcut on the taskbar.
iPad - Safari
- Access the learner page.
- Select the share icon.
- Select add to home screen. You may need to scroll along the bottom row of icons to find the add to home screen icon.
- A confirmation message will appear.
Tablet - Google Chrome
- Access the learner page.
- In the top right corner of your browser click on the 3 dots icon.
- Select add to home page.
URL is not valid
You may see this screen if the URL is invalid. This may occur if it has been shared incorrectly, if some characters have been missed - the full URL must be used.
