Resetting a passcode

A learner will require a unique passcode to be able to log into the learner portal and take a test. 

A passcode can be numeric or in common word format - this selection will apply to all learners against the assessment. 

A passcode can be reset on the View Passcodes page in NOA.

 

Navigating to the NFER Online Assessments and to View Passcodes 

  • Select NFER Online Assessments from the left-hand side menu.
  • Select View passcodes from the secondary menu.
  • Select the Assessment where learners have already been assigned and confirmed, and select the View passcodes button.

  • All the learners confirmed against the assessment will display in the table. 
  • Passcodes display in the last column.
  • Passcodes can be numeric (6 digits) or common words (made up of two 3 letter common words). 


Resetting a Passcode for a learner 

A passcode can be reset for a learner or learners.


The passcode selection must remain the same for all learners allocated to an assessment.
It is not possible for some learners to have numeric passcodes and others common words against the same assessment.


  • Use the check box to select a learner or learners.
  • Select the Reset button.

 


A warning message will appear - select confirm to run the action and reset the passcode or passcodes.


 

 

The new passcode details will be visible in the table. 

To print details of just passcodes that have been reset, use the check box to select the learners and select Print.
