Features to disable on devices used by learners

Modified on Mon, 2 Jun at 11:45 AM

Each release of an operating system introduces new features to help users. A side-effect of this is that browsers and operating systems are increasingly able to automatically correct spellings or perform calculations for users.

It is advisable therefore to turn these features off on devices that learners will be using to carry out assessments to ensure that the assessment results are not compromised.

Instructions to do this may vary depending on which operating system or browser is running. Information provided here is therefore for guidance and should be checked against the most recent information available for specific devices, operating systems and browsers in use within individual establishments.
