Report layout and features

Modified on Fri, 30 Aug at 2:34 PM

For the demo account, the assessments are for example only and have not been trialled and standardised. All standardisation data provided is mocked up and for illustrative purposes only.

Overall layout

Each report has a consistent layout to aid accessibility:

  • The report heading is top left.
  • The learner selection and the assessment for which the data is reported is displayed below the heading.

The top right shows the total number of learners in the selection, or in the case of Individual reports, the learner’s name.

Colour key

Below is an information boxThis will contain a key to describe the use of colour in the report and have a link to access additional information regarding the report.

The colour schemes are used consistently across all reports to represent either the comparison of the learner selection to the national average of the standardisation sample, whether age related expectations are being met, or to analyse responses at question level.

Functionality buttons

Each report has various buttons that can be selected.

  • For some reports you will need to select an assessment. Select the assessment button to go back to the Assessment selection screen.
  • The ‘export button’ on the right allows you to export the report data. Depending on the report this will be as an excel spreadsheet or pdf.
  • For reports on an Individual learner there is a learner name button to select the individual.

Filtering

Several of the reports have a ‘filter button.’

  • Select this to filter the report by a range of criteria. An example is given below.

Highlighted cells

The highlight colour of the cells corresponds with the information in the key. For most reports this is a coloured outline around a cell.

In most reports, the colour highlights correspond to individual learner results and indicates the learner’s position relative to the average of the standardisation sample.

In reports with a highlight on an average of a learner selection (such as the Curriculum area – summary), this indicates where an average groups performance differs from the standardisation sample.

For accessibility there are also coloured diagonal lines in the top right or bottom left corners of the cell which match up with the key.

  • Diagonal lines bottom left indicate learners who are working below average. There is one line for ‘below’ and two lines for ‘well below.’
  • Diagonal lines top right indicate learners who are working above average. There is one line for ‘above’ and two lines for ‘well above.’

Sort arrow

In the header rows for many of the table columns, there is a sort arrow.

  • Select the arrow to sort by alphabetical or numerical order for that column, either in ascending or descending order.
