There are three types of scoring for the NFER Online Assessments (NOA):
- autoscored questions
- teacher marked questions
- autoscored (verify) questions
When in the marking area of NOA, only teacher marked and autoscored (verify) questions will be displayed, as the autoscored questions are automatically scored as learners take the tests, and data from these questions is transferred directly into the reports.
To find out more about accessing and marking questions see How to access teacher marking and verification and Teacher scoring or verifying questions.
Most questions in each test of an assessment are autoscored for both Maths and Reading. For the Maths assessments there are a small number of both teacher marked and autoscored (verify) questions. The Reading assessments have teacher marked questions only.
The summary tables below show the questions in each test that require teacher marking, or where verification may be needed. If a cell in a table shows n/a, there are none of this type of question in the test. For example, the Year 3 Maths Autumn term arithmetic test 1 is completely autoscored.
